AUTOCLEAR/ Scintrex Trace’s Most Advanced Explosive & Narcotic Vehicle EDS System
AUTOCLEAR/ Scintrex Trace proudly announce its second fully automatic Vehicle Trace Detection, checkpoint unit. The Mobile VEN6000 is transportable, more compact and updated, like its sister unit, the VEN6000. Designed to stem the unrelenting trafficking of explosives and narcotics, its mobility allows the scanning of vehicles in more remote areas. The smaller footprint is in the range of a trailer or truck.
The ruggedized Checkpoint is transported to the desired site. Approaching vehicles are directed to the readily deployable entrance via signals, and can not back out without permission pass through on its own power. Vapor samples are taken by an automatic sampler, which checks for invisible explosive or narcotics residues or vapors, many of which even trained sniffer dogs can not reliably detect. As a result, the VEN6000 series automatically detect particulate explosives, such as TNT, RDX, PETN, C4, and HMX, and vapors of TNT, NG, and TATP.
The Checkpoint operator will safely view progress with each vehicle’s samples from a separate area and will be supplied with monitor screens from the digital PTZ cameras integrated into the scanning areas. The entire process for one vehicle to be checked is 60 seconds. The power requirement for the Checkpoint is in the low Kilowatt range and supplied by a gas or a diesel generator.
Extensive research, partly sponsored by Transport Canada and TSWC, and patented internal development by Scintrex Trace behind robotic trace sampling and precise contracting and automatic gas chromatography, ion mobility spectrometry, and chemilux detection have culminated in the VE6000 series, which has been proven for over a decade of successful VIP, top Government field tests, and deployments. The use of these fully enabled systems, which safely scan the driver in the vehicle or truck, and can be operated from a very safe distance robotically, have caught or deterred advanced smuggling of dangerous contraband for years. Advanced direct sampling, via servo-controlled “arms,” will be able to move within centimeters of the vehicle, to enhance accuracy. The Mobile VED6000 Checkpoint is designed as a multi-sensor platform allowing for software and chemical upgrades and options.
Trusted worldwide and celebrating over 70 years of U.S. and Canadian innovation in checkpoint design and support, AUTOCLEAR and its subsidiary, Scintrex Trace, are leaders in designing and producing the broadest lines of advanced X-ray scanners, explosive detection devices, and metal/weapons detectors, which now include Dual View, Multi Energy, Backscatter, Mobile and Cargo Scanners, Walkthrough and Handheld Metal Detectors, and Vehicle EDS and NDS Trace Systems.
