AUTOCLEAR is pleased to announce that its new Linux open operating system software in its most sophisticated security X-ray scanners. This significant software improves image procession and sharpness of explosives, narcotics, and weapons. This software is being field tested and has been demonstrated at security-based conferences and tradeshows, where it was met by accolades and industry enthusiasm.

One of the many benefits of replacing the old software used with the new Linux system is that the company now competes on a higher industry standard platform, yet the operation of the units are still practical, basic, and user-friendly. The operator can now manipulate data images from the X-ray unit to a remote location, should there be, for example, a present danger near the unit or area.

The new operating system uses an improved Operator Control Panel (OCP), with an organic roller ball and additional navigation keys which can be upgraded on early versions with an extension key pad. The operators can now navigate closer to and around the image more accurately with the roller ball, distinguish between objects in a cluttered purse or parcel.
